The Country Club Plaza was designed in 1922 as the nation's first suburban shopping district.   Its open-air public art gallery has continuously added to its collection of  fountains, sculptures and murals. 

The Plaza is home to fashion in Kansas City. From Anthropologie to Cole Haan, from St. John to BCBG, from Betsey Johnson to Adrienne Vittadini, plus labels like Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, Chanel, Prada and numerous others as well local boutiques.

The Country Club Plaza is also mecca for Kansas City entertainment offering everything from outdoor concerts, a fine art fair, lively happy hours, horse-drawn carriage rides, and outdoor dining to its world-famous holiday display of lights.

Directions to Country Club Plaza:
From the North:

I-35 South: Exit on Southwest Trafficway after traveling through downtown KC. Stay on Southwest Trafficway for approximately 20 blocks. Go left (East) on 47th Street which will take you to the Plaza.
I-435 South: Go West on I-70 through downtown, join the I-35 South traffic and follow the above directions.        International Airport: Go South on I-29, after approximately 11 miles, merge onto US-169 South, towards KC. Take Broadway bridge towards downtown KC. Merge onto I-35 South and exit on Southwest Trafficway. Go East (left) on 47th St into The Plaza.

From the South

I-35 North: To Shawnee Mission Parkway/56 East. Continue for about 10 minutes - after passing State Line stay to the left with Ward Parkway traffic going East. The Plaza is just a few blocks away -- you may turn left on Wornall or JC Nichols Parkway.
I-435 North: Exit on Blue Parkway and continue West for 10 minutes. This street eventually becomes Volker Boulevard and runs along Brush Creek. Turn right at the major intersection at Brookside Boulevard and go North. After just two blocks, turn left at the light onto 47th Street going West into the Plaza.

From the West
I-70 East: Exit on I-35 South and follow the directions for I-35 South above.

From the East
I-70 West: Go through downtown and join the I-35 South traffic. Follow the I-35 South directions above.
